Celebrating our 20 Year Anniversary 1985-2005
1985- Company founded in Whippany, New Jersey.
1989- Growth leads to search for larger
facility. Company moves to current location in South Plainfield New Jersey.
1991- Company expands premise wiring business
with manufacturing of first
Fiber Optic patch panels.
1992- Lands first major account with AT&T for
custom cable assemblies on many cellular sites around the country.
1993- DL207 introduced as the first long haul
single fiber Ethernet product, AUI to 10 megabit. Receives major contract
for Tinker Air Force base, supplying all of their interconnect
requirements. First cable TV customer - Time Warner Cable in New York City.
Exhibits for the first time at the SCTE Cable Tec Expo in Orlando, Florida.
1994- Expands product line by manufacturing
its own baseband vide/audio line. Supplies Texscan with all of their service
cables. Also, begins manufacturing our own Fiber optic adaptors for the
premise wiring industry.1995 - First
100 megabit LAN connections with @Home in Freemont, California.
1996- Radiant DL210 product used in 1996
Winter Olympics. Begin new division of the company with a
line of Fiber Optic security products based out of Long Island, New York.
1997- Begins production of WAN/LAN products for
the CATV industry. DL221 is delivered to customers.
1998- Develops single fiber long haul WAN
solutions for major CATV MSO's. Also, new video/audio multiplexers.
1999- Sells Premise Wiring Division to Wiremold.
Starts new division - Dark Fiber Solutions.
2000- Radiant opens R&D engineering office in
Torrance, California along with sales offices in Colorado
and Wisconsin. .
2001- Radiant sales office opens in Tennessee.
2002- Designs RM1100, first real time video
monitoring system for the CATV industry. Exhibits at NAB (National
Association of Broadcasters) for first time. Lands major security
contracts for Yuma Air Force base and JFK airport.
2004- Developing IP based products for
video/audio applications. Contracts for Port Authority of NY and Virginia
DOT. Original founder Mike Thaw passes away at the end of the year.
2005 - Gene Thaw becomes CEO and Jack
Fitzsimmons President of Radiant.
2006 - Radiant introduces QRF5000. It is the
first in a series of new Eclipse Encoders which allows users to convert
analog television into digital QAM channels for bandwidth saving
applications with digital simulcast systems. The Eclipse series encoders
find valuable use in gated communities, hotels, college and arena CATV
systems with use
2007 - Radiant wins 4 star BGR award at SCTE
in Orlando from Broadband Gear Report with QRF5200 QAM Channel Deletion
unit.
